Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term. This is always a very exciting time of the year for the children, not only as we plan Christmas Celebrations but also for the exciting learning the teachers have planned for the next 7 weeks.

FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA AND AUTUMN FAIR

Our fantastic annual Fireworks Extravaganza and Autumn Fair will be held on Friday 7th November from 5.30pm onwards. There will be stalls, games, a super raffle with excellent prizes, bouncy castles, a BBQ, refreshments and the finale, the most amazing fireworks display!

Tickets will be available to purchase from the school office (Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm) and the local Ashington Pharmacy. Tickets £3 each or £10 for a family ticket (4 people) in advance. Do buy early as they are £3.50 each or £12 for a family ticket (4 people) on the night!

 

SCHOOL CHOIR INVITED TO SING AT COVENT GARDEN

We are delighted that a selection of children from our school choir has been invited to sing at the Actors Church in Covent Garden on Saturday 22nd November. This is such an exciting opportunity for the children to be involved in an event outside of our local area and to sing with other school choirs in such a special place.

 

LEADING UP TO CHRISTMAS

Christmas is fast approaching at school, the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children will be practising hard for their Christmas Nativity production. We have a christmas activity day, Christmas Carol Service and Christmas Sing-a-long to look forward to. 

Our FACES (Friends of Ashington C E School) have raised money towards the whole school being able to go and see Cinderella at Horsham Capitol Theatre. The children are so excited!
